That's right: Tom Cavanagh is back, wearing the Reverse-Flash costume.
It's still unclear which iteration of Reverse-Flash he's playing – whether he is a time-displaced version, from another reality, or something entirely different.
Dr Harrison Wells, the person behind the S.T.A.R. Labs Particle Accelerator in Central City, was a main character in season one but later revealed himself to be Eobard Thawne (Matt Letscher) / Reverse-Flash in disguise, with the real Harrison dead.
Cavanagh has continued to appear on the show as different doppelgangers of the character – including Harry Wells (from Earth-2) as well as season three's HR Wells (from Earth-19).
A theory is going around that Cavanagh is playing the Earth-X version of The Flash.
Earth-X is a parallel world where the Nazis won World War II.
Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg previously promised that Harry "won't be the only Wells we'll see" this season, while Cavanagh himself revealed: "We're going to start with Harry and then find a way, I think, to try and get a different version of Wells in there."
The Flash airs on The CW in the US and on Sky One in the UK.
