Male victim rushed to hospital after stabbing in Halifax

A male has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in Fairview, Halifax Regional Police said Friday.

Officers were called to Flint Street and Main Avenue at around 3:30 p.m. and they found the victim, who was transported to the Halifax Infirmary.

His age and the extent of his injuries are not known.

Police said they do not have a description of a suspect in the stabbing, but said people in the area are not in danger.

Main Avenue is closed between Titus and Flint streets as police investigate.
