Maleficent, Ursula and More Villains Inspire a New Line of Fairytale Wedding Dresses, Disney Announces: See Them All!
The four styles — each available in black and ivory versions — pay homage to iconic characters Ursula, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar
Disney is embracing a darker side of its fairy-tale world.
The entertainment brand has teamed up with Allure Bridals to launch a capsule of wedding dresses inspired by some of its famous villains — Ursula, Maleficent, the Evil Queen and Jafar.
The four dramatic styles, which start at $2,000 and are each offered in both a black and an ivory colorway, are available now as part of Disney's 2024 Fairy Tale Weddings collection.
"These new gowns capture both the romance and complexity of love," Disney said in a statement.
"The dresses are as versatile as they are romantic, each evoking themes from beloved Disney stories and highlighting iconic details and colorful accents from each of the character’s looks," the brand added.
The Ursula gown fittingly features a mermaid silhouette detailed with tonal sparkle beadwork on the bodice. "Emulating Ursula's dramatic flair, the gown [has] detachable sheer sleeves that boast ruffled detailing at the cuffs," Disney said.
The Maleficent-inspired look has a fitted sheath design with shimmering green velvet and lace appliqués layered over black organza. The ivory version is adorned with chiffon lace accents for a softer touch.
The spirit and the style of the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is captured with a gown featuring a sweetheart neckline leading into a peaked bodice, linear lace, 3-D floral ornaments and beaded tulle. A wrapped ruffle shawl completes the look.
The Jafar-inspired dress has a plunging neckline — reminiscent of the Aladdin character's signature collar — and puffed full-length sleeves with buttoned cuffs. The bodice is tailored in a nod to menswear.

The Villains capsule follows the launch earlier this month of an enchanting new collection of wedding gowns inspired by Disney princesses Ariel, Aurora, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Rapunzel, Snow White and Tiana. The 18-style offering, also a collaboration with Allure Bridals, debuted on Feb. 1.

“Each dress evokes the spirit of its namesake princess to capture the bride’s own style and personality,” according to a Disney press release. “It’s a blend of elegance and fun that can make each bride feel like a princess on their wedding day.”
Each gown features unique details that reflect the essence of a particular princess, such as laser-cut lace for a Rapunzel look and a metallic-backed Chantilly lace ball gown silhouette for a Cinderella-inspired style. A Tiana-inspired look shimmers with thousands of beads and sequins.
Several of the dresses — which are available in sizes 0 to 30 and start at $1,799 — also feature detachable skirts or sleeves for added versatility.
Disney and Allure Bridals debuted their first bridal line in 2020, with a goal of offering on-trend styles that showcase the spirit and style of favorite Disney Princess characters.
