Man, 2 teen boys charged in 6 street robberies in Scarborough

A man and two teen boys have been charged after six street robberies in Scarborough in February.

Toronto police said the robberies occurred between Feb. 23 and 28 in the Midland Avenue and Lawrence Avenue East area. The man is 18, while the teens are both 16.

Police allege that, in each incident, three suspects approached victims and demanded valuables. On a "number of occasions," one of the suspects produced a knife during the robberies, police allege.

Police said cash and other valuables were taken from the victims.

Man, 2 teens facing robbery charges

On Wednesday, the man was arrested and is now charged with robbery.

One of the boys was also arrested and charged with robbery, five counts of robbery with a weapon, and disguise with intent.

The other boy was arrested and charged with three counts of robbery, five counts of robbery with a weapon, three counts of dangerous weapons, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of property obtained by crime, and three counts of failing to comply with a recognizance.

All three made court appearances last week.
