Toronto police are investigating after a man in his 30s was shot in the leg outside a North York bar early Wednesday.

Police said they received a call about unknown trouble near Keele Street and Keelegate Drive, north of Wilson Avenue, at about 2:25 a.m.

Staff Sgt. Paul Bois, spokesperson for Toronto Police Service's 31 Division, said officers found the man outside lying on the ground.

Police called Toronto paramedics and the man was transported to a trauma centre.

Jamie Rodgers, deputy commander for Toronto Paramedic Services, said the man was transported in serious but non-life-threatening condition.

Bois said no suspect information is available, but police said earlier in a tweet that two suspects may be at large and one may be carrying a shotgun.

Police found evidence of gunfire at the scene.
