A 34-year-old man is expected to recover after he was shot three times Sunday afternoon in Repentigny.

Police were called at 5:17 p.m. after gunshots were heard on La Matapédia Street.

"We have a good idea of what might have happened, but for now, the investigation is ongoing," Bruno Marier, a spokesperson for the Repentigny police service (SPVR), said.

Officers say the victim is known to them, and is not cooperating with the investigation.

So far they have no suspects.
