Man airlifted to hospital after falling down Waterton's Cameron Falls

A man was airlifted to the Foothills hospital on Sunday after falling down Cameron Falls in Waterton Lakes National Park.

EMS said it was called just after 1:30 p.m. and the patient was taken to Pincher Creek Health Centre by ambulance before being flown to Calgary by STARS.

Adam Loria, a spokesperson for EMS, said the man had multiple serious injuries but was stable and in non-life-threatening condition at the time of transport.

STARS says it was dispatched to transport the man around 1:55 p.m.

The man was originally said to be in his late teens, but STARS later said he was in his 30s.
