Police arrest man after false complaint

A Saskatoon man has been arrested for public mischief after allegedly making a false complaint to police Saturday evening.

Police said at about 6 p.m. CST a man called dispatchers warning them of a woman dealing drugs and pointing a handgun at people in the city's east side.

Five patrol cars and a canine unit were sent to the scene, but after investigating officers found the allegations to be unfounded.

The suspect was arrested and will remain in custody until he appears in court.
