Man charged with 2nd-degree murder in N.W. Calgary stabbing

Calgary police arrested a 26-year-old man in connection with a stabbing in the city's northwest.

A 26-year-old man is now facing a second-degree murder charge in connection to a stabbing in Calgary's northwest last September.

Police were called to a disturbance in the 1000 block of 16th Avenue in the early hours of Sept. 1.

Officers found two men with stab wounds. Both were transported to hospital, but 37-year-old Wyatt Benjamin Lewis was pronounced dead upon arrival.

The accused is making his first court appearance Thursday.
