Man charged in connection with Winnipeg crime spree

A 26-year-old Winnipeg man has been charged in connection with a break-in spree between March and October.

The man was arrested on Saturday for the following incidents:

- March 10 – Break-in at a business in the 1400 block of Spruce Street (merchandise stolen).

- June 3 – Break-in of a garage in the 600 block of Denson Place (damage caused, property stolen).

- June 4 – Break-in at a residence in the 300 block of Lipton Street (damage caused, property stolen).

- Sept. 16 – Break-in at a residence in the 700 block of Valour Road (property stolen).

- Sept. 16 – Attempts to pawn previously stolen property at a store in the 500 block of Sargent Avenue.

- Sept. 22 – Break-in at a residence in the 700 block of Ashburn Street (damage caused, property stolen).

- Sept. 22 – Attempts to pawn previously stolen property at a store in the 1300 block of Portage Avenue.

- September – Property stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Pacific Avenue.

- Oct. 1–4 – On three occasions, a suspect attended a business in the 600 block of Empress Street, causing damage and stealing property. On one occasion, staff was confronted.

The man is charged with numerous break-and-enter, theft and robbery offences, as well as possession of a weapon.
