Man charged after pointing fake gun in road-rage incident
A 20-year-old Tecumseh man has been arrested after brandishing a gun during a road-rage incident in east Windsor on Tuesday evening.
Police say a 51-year-old man was driving in the area of Monmouth Road and Ontario Street around 5:30 p.m. when he was cut off by another driver in a black Jeep.
The man pulled over and parked when the driver of the jeep pulled up and the two men began to argue. The man in the Jeep allegedly pulled out a gun and pointed it at the other driver, according to police.
On Thursday, officers from the drugs and guns unit found the suspect a few blocks away from the incident in the area of Windermere Avenue and Richmond Street.
Police found a fake handgun during the arrest and later located his Jeep nearby. The man has been charged with two counts of pointing a firearm, possession of a dangerous weapon and uttering threats.
