Man charged after woman assaulted at Prince's Island Park
Police have charged a man with assault after a woman was found suffering from serious injuries in Prince's Island Park on Wednesday afternoon.
A passerby found the victim just after 5 p.m. MT and called police.
She was taken to hospital and is listed in stable condition, an EMS official says.
A suspect was located near the Calgary Drop-In Centre later in the evening.
He was arrested and has been charged with assault and assault with a weapon. Police say the victim knew the accused.
