Man dies after pickup truck goes off highway in western P.E.I., say police
A Prince County man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Friday just north of Tignish, in western Prince Edward Island.
In a news release, RCMP said 71-year-old man died after his pickup truck left the road on Route 14 in Christopher Cross, near Route 161. Police said the man was the lone occupant of the truck.
The force said officers responded at around 4:10 p.m., along with Island EMS and the Tignish Fire Department.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
An investigation is ongoing.
