Man drives over Bay Roberts embankment, calls police himself

'Attacked at random': No clear motive for stabbing of teen girl at Winkler church, police say

A man who drove over an embankment in Bay Roberts on Thursday night escaped with only minor injuries, police say.

The male driver went over the side of the road in the Mad Rocks area around 9:30 p.m.

Police say the driver got out of his vehicle, walked to a house on Water Street in the town, and then called for help from first responders himself.

According to Cpl. Mary Gale, it doesn't look like the man intentionally left the road.

The driver had minor injuries and was taken to hospital in Carbonear.
