Man faces impaired charges after OPP spot tractor driving 'erratically' in downtown Harrow

A 39-year-old Essex man faces impaired driving charges after police spotted a lawn tractor being "driven erratically in the centre of King Street" in Harrow.

Police spotted the allegedly wayward tractor about 10:30 p.m. Thursday and say the tractor was pulling a trailer and dragging a road sign caught up under the machine.

Police said the driver "exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested."

The driver's licence was suspended and the lawn tractor impounded.

The driver has been charged with driving a motor vehicle while impaired and not providing a breath sample.

He will appear in court May 10 to answer to the charges.
