Man faces internet luring charges after allegedly asking minor for photos

Toronto police have charged a 28-year-old man with internet luring and making child pornography after he allegedly tried to obtain nude photographs from a minor online.

Anthony Durbano, 28, of Beeton, Ont., was arrested last Wednesday after allegedly having sexual conversations with a 13-year-old girl through social media. He appeared in court last Thursday.

Before his arrest, a search warrant was executed by members of the force's sex crimes unit.

Police allege the man had sexually explicit conversations with the minor in order to acquire naked photographs of her and that he used the name "Durbano87" during his interactions on various sites online.

Durbano faces the following four charges:

- Two counts of luring a child under 18.

- One count of making child pornography.

- One count of attempting to make child pornography.
