Man facing several weapons charge in relation to eastern P.E.I. threats complaint
RCMP say officers were greeted by a man holding a bow and arrow when they responded to a "threats and firearm" complaint in P.E.I.'s Kings County.
The 34-year-old man was arrested and faces several charges.
Police were called to a house early Friday morning and arrived at around 1:50 a.m., according to a news release on Tuesday.
"The person who was being accused of making these threats was present. They had a bow and arrow in hand with an arrow on the bow, prepared," Cpl. Gavin Moore said in an interview. "Thankfully in this situation, the accused followed police commands and was taken into custody."
As well as the bow, the news release said officers seized three rifles, a handgun, a shotgun, a knife, and a baseball bat from the house.
The man was charged with:
Uttering threats
Pointing a firearm
Five counts of unsafe storage of a firearm
Four counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and
Unauthorized possession of a prohibited or restricted weapon
The man will stay in custody pending a court hearing Thursday in Georgetown.
