Man Finds iPhone After It Falls From Plane, And It Still Works

A man used an app to locate his iPhone after it fell 9,300 feet from a plane.

Texas Businessman Ben Wilson reportedly located his smartphone at the side of a rural road, under a mesquite tree.

According to the Witchita Falls Times Record News, Wilson was on a flight back from Houston in a Beechcraft Bonanza plane when a change in air pressure caused the passenger door to open slightly, at which point Wilson saw a newspaper fly out.

It seems that the Apple smartphone must have flown out of the door at the same time as the newspaper.

He claims he didn’t know that the phone was missing until the plane landed, and at this point, he used the Find My iPhone app to locate it.

Wilson was able to narrow the search to Jacksboro, more than 50 miles away.

The phone apparently survived the fall suffering just a few scratches, supposedly saved by its rugged Mophie battery charger case.
