Man hit by falling tubing at K-Scrap Resources, Ministry of Labour investigating

The Ministry of Labour is investigating after tubing reportedly fell from a rail car and hit a worker at K-Scrap Resources Ltd. in Windsor.

Emergency crews were called to the Hill Avenue business around 11 a.m.

The extent of the employee's injuries isn't known, said ministry spokesperson Janet Deline, but an investigator has been assigned.

The ministry investigates workplace fatalities or incidents where a "critical injury" such as severe head drama or a broken limb occurs, she added.

Deline would not say whether the worker's injuries were critical, but she confirmed no work orders that could restrict company activities have been issued.

An investigation is ongoing.
