Man hospitalized, dies several days after ‘physical altercation’ in Macon, officials say
A 63-year-old man died Thursday after a “physical altercation” in Macon last week, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies received a 911 call about “a person down” around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 6 in the 2400 block of Monroe Avenue, a news release from the sheriff’s office said.
The victim, Dennis Lundy, was found unresponsive and taken to Atrium Health Navicent. He was initially listed in critical but stable condition, deputies said.
But Lundy was pronounced dead by Coroner Leon Jones on Thursday. Family was notified of his death.
