Man killed in hit and run Macon crash, deputies say. Sheriff’s office asks public for help
A pedestrian was killed after a hit-and-run crash in northwest Macon Sunday, according to the Bibb County Coroner’s Office.
Jaxon Bilbrey, 24, was struck by an unknown vehicle on the 300 block of Lexington Street and Emery Highway, Coroner Leon Jones and the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said. A 911 call was made around 2:30 a.m.
Deputies responded, and Coroner Ronnie Miley pronounced Bilbrey dead about an hour later, the coroner’s office confirmed.
The next of kin was notified. Bilbrey’s body will be taken to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation Crime Lab for an autopsy.
