Man left in critical condition after being stabbed in back, Fort Worth police say

A 34-year-old man was in critical condition after he was stabbed in the back on Saturday, according to Fort Worth police.

Central Division officers were called to John Peter Smith Hospital shortly before 5 p.m. after the victim arrived with two stab wounds to his back.

The victim was brought to the hospital by two people who witnessed the assault and immediately sought medical help, police said. He was undergoing surgery on Saturday night.

According to a police report, investigators believe the stabbing happened near the 950 block of Judd Street.

The criminal investigations unit is handling the case. No suspects are in custody. Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
