Man ‘nearly shoots sleeping homeowner dead’ while hunting for zombies

A man has been arrested after he allegedly nearly killed a homeowner while hunting for zombies.

Ryan Stanislaw is said to have been walking the streets of North St Paul, Minnesota, armed with an AR-15 rifle when he began firing.

One of the 24-year-old’s bullets shattered a window of a home where Ken Quaale was sleeping at the time, according to police.

They say that the bullet only just missed Quaale’s head, instead bouncing off the walls of his bedroom.

Stanislaw apparently told police who rushed to the scene that he was out “hunting zombies” at 5am.

He allegedly told police he was “making sure my neighbourhood is safe” and that he was aiming at “a zombie.”

He was also carrying bullets marketed as anti-zombie ammunition, according to Fox 9.

Stanislaw has been charged with a firearm violation and possession of a firearm by an ineligible person - due to a previous conviction of making terroristic threats.

His mother told police her son has no history of mental illness.
