Pedestrian suffers serious head injury after being struck by vehicle at Dundas and Beverley

A 40-year old male who was struck by a vehicle has been transported to hospital with a serious head injury.

Toronto paramedics say they were called to the scene at Dundas Street West and Beverley Street just after 7:15 a.m. this morning for a pedestrian that was struck by a delivery truck.

He was transported to hospital in an emergency run.

Toronto police say roads in the area will be completely shut down, and advise drivers to avoid the intersection as it will be closed for several hours for reconstruction.

The Dundas streetcar will be diverted to avoid the scene via Church, College, Bathurst.

Police will look at the dashcam video from the delivery truck as part of their investigation.

Their investigation continues, and no charges have been laid at this point.
