Man shot, seriously injured during robbery attempt in west Fort Worth, police say

A man was shot and seriously injured during a robbery attempt early Wednesday in west Fort Worth, police said.

Officers were dispatched to Baylor Scott and White All Saints Medical Center around 3:30 a.m. regarding a shooting victim who arrived in a private vehicle. Investigators found the victim was shot during an attempted robbery in the 5200 block of Birchman Avenue, police said. The suspect is still at large.

Robbery detectives are investigating the incident. The victim remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition, according to police.
