Man Smuggled Dying Wife’s Dog Into Hospital In Suitcase To See Beloved Pup ‘One Last Time’

A kindhearted husband smuggled his terminally ill wife’s beloved dog past hospital security in a suitcase so she could see her one last time.

Bella, a 3-and-a-half stone Australian Shepherd, incredibly kept quiet as she was secretly wheeled into her owner’s room.

She then jumped onto the bed and laid across the woman’s chest - before cuddling up and licking her face for comfort.

The woman - who had undergone invasive surgery and was unable to eat, drink or really speak - tragically later died.

And her husband has revealed that he is now left emotionally torn every time their dog sees a suitcase - because she thinks she’s going to visit his wife again.

The man shared the touching tale, which happened “one year, three days and fourteen hours” ago on Reddit.

It’s unclear exactly where it occurred, and the man has not been named. But his story has gone viral since its posting.

“My wife hugged her for almost an hour, smiling the whole time. We were busted by one nurse who was so touched that she promised not to tell,” wrote user Mellifluous_Username.

“When my wife finally went back to sleep, I loaded the dog back in the suitcase, and she somewhat sheepishly obliged,” he added.

Since his spouse’s passing, the man revealed that their dog think they are going to see her every time he picks up a suitcase.

“It breaks my heart, because I can not properly communicate to her that her Mommy is gone,” he wrote.

“It’s gotten to the point that when we put her in another room to pack the suitcase, she KNOWS, and thinks we are keeping her from her Mommy,” he added.
