Man stabbed to death in Oshawa, male in custody: police
A 76-year-old man has died after being stabbed by a male who was taken into custody this afternoon in Oshawa.
Durham police say they received a call at 4:30 p.m. ET and responded to a residence on Carnaby Court in Oshawa.
The victim was being transported to Lakeridge Health but did not survive.
Police have taken the man who was located at the scene into custody but no charges have been laid at this time. There are no other persons of interest with regards to the case, according to police.
It's unclear how the two males knew each another. The homicide team has taken over the investigation.
