Man suffers minor injuries in Rideau St. stabbing

Ottawa police are looking for a suspect after a man was stabbed late Sunday afternoon in the city's downtown.

At around 5:30 p.m., a man in his 40s suffered a "minor stab wound" in an altercation on the 100 block of Rideau Street, the Ottawa Police Service said in a press release.

The man was treated for the wound in hospital.

Police said the suspect is a Middle Eastern man between 40 and 50 years old, about five-foot-six, with curly black hair and a thin build. He was wearing a blue baseball hat, a green jacket and blue jeans.
