A man wanted in connection with a Scarborough teen's shooting death in Kingston, Jamaica, has turned himself in to police.

The 19-year-old man, who had been identified shortly after 14-year-old Ricardo Williams was killed early Sunday, came to the Jamaica Constabulary Force on Monday night in response to a police request issued Sunday and is said to be co-operating with the investigation.

Police consider the man a person of interest in the case.

Jamaica police said Williams was shot while attending a wake at a home in the Olympic Gardens neighbourhood about 2 a.m. local time. People in the area reported hearing explosions.
