Man and his wife found dead in apparent murder-suicide in North Texas, police say
A man and his wife were found dead in a Garland home in what detectives believe was a murder-suicide, according to a news release by Garland police.
At around 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, Garland police responded to a concern for welfare call in the 1800 block of Vine Drive.
A male caller said that he had just killed his wife and that he was going to kill himself, according to the release.
Officers arrived at the scene, entered the residence, and found a man with a self-inflicted gunshot wound, the release states. Officers also found a woman with multiple apparent gunshot wounds in a separate room.
Both the man and woman were pronounced dead at the scene by Garland Fire Department paramedics.
Police identified the female victim as 66-year-old Kim Phi Nguyen and the male victim as 65-year-old Luat Nguyen.

Detectives believe that Luat shot and killed his wife, Kim, then turned the gun on himself, according to the release.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will rule on the official cause and manner of death.
