Manchester United have launched their new white and black striped third kit for the 2020-21 season.

The bold design was first teased on Instagram by former United star David Beckham on Monday ahead of the official launch.

And now United have revealed the shirt Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side will be wearing ahead of the new season, which kicks off on September 12 after releasing their home and away kits.

As modelled by United first-team regulars such as Brandon Williams, Bruno Fernandes and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, the white-and-black stripe feature derives from United’s first striped kit over 100 years ago, with a nod to kit designs of the 1970s and 80s.

The official Adidas 'three stripes' are coloured red on either side of the sleeves, with the collar including a ‘110 years of stripes’ sign off, representing the club's previous iconic striped jerseys.

The club's long-running sponsorship deal with U.S car giant Chevrolet means their golden logo with a white background is imprinted on the front.

While the players' shirt will be accompanied by white shorts and white socks, fans are able to purchase a short and sock combination with the same pattern as the shirt.

The kit is available from September 8 exclusively on the adidas website, stores and official club stores. Wider release with select retailers will be available from September 15, 2020.
