Manchester United begin their Premier League campaign for the 2020/21 season today as they host Crystal Palace.

United missed gameweek 1 as they recovered from an extended 19/20 term, while Palace defeated Southampton 1-0.

Former Red Devil Wilfried Zaha was the goalscorer in that game, and he’ll be motivated to impress again at Old Trafford.

Meanwhile, a new Red Devil could be making their first appearance: Donny van de Beek may be in line for his debut, having signed from Ajax last week.

Here’s everything you need to know about today’s game:

When is it?

The fixture will kick-off at 5.30pm BST at Old Trafford.

How can I watch it?

The match will air live on Sky Sports Main Event, and subscribers can also stream the game in real time on the Sky Sports App and website.

What is the team news?

United centre-backs Phil Jones and Axel Tuanzebe are still unavailable, so academy product Teden Mengi has been training with the first team. Van de Beek is fit and available to take part.

For Palace, defenders Gary Cahill, James Tomkins, Nathan Ferguson and Patrick van Aanholt all remain sidelined. Mamadou Sakho has returned to training, as have Christian Benteke and Connor Wickham. Coach Roy Hodgson said earlier this week he was hopeful Jairo Riedewald would train ahead of the game, too.

Predicted line-ups:

United: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Shaw; Pogba, Fernandes, Van de Beek; Greenwood, Martial, Rashford

Palace: Guaita; Ward, Dann, Kouyate, Mitchell; Townsend, McArthur, Milivojevic, Schlupp; Zaha, Batshuayi

Odds:

United: 3/10

Palace: 17/2

Draw: 17/4

Prediction:

Palace got off to a solid start by beating Southampton, but United will be out with a point to prove. Their forwards were scoring for fun late last season and they’ll be motivated to pick up where they left off, possibly with Van de Beek helping to supply them… Expect Palace to be organised and stubborn, however. United 1-0 Palace.
