Two Toronto Maple Leafs WAGs wear custom jackets to represent their partners.

It’s not just the boys on the ice that are set for some playoff hockey — it’s also their partners who are ready for the post-season.

And while the Toronto Maple Leafs certainly delivered on the ice in Game 1, demolishing the rival Ottawa Senators 6-2 in the Battle of Ontario opener, their wives and girlfriends — also known as WAGs – came to play with matching custom outfits.

In recent years, WAG fashion has become an obsession for many fans who see the partners of their favourite team’s players as stylistic inspiration.

And, around the NHL, WAG groups have often pulled together for matching jackets and outfits during the post-season.

This year is no different, with several Maple Leafs WAGs being spotted rocking custom jackets on the weekend.

The jacket appears to be black and white with ‘Toronto Maple Leafs’ and the city’s skyline across the back, as well as the player’s corresponding number, as seen in a snap featuring the partners of Steven Lorentz and Bobby McMann.

On the front is a white maple leaf with the player’s last name embroidered on it, which the WAGs of Pontus Holmberg and Nick Robertson showed off while sharing drinks during Game 1.

It also appears that a few of the group have teamed up with a local Toronto jeweler for some custom bracelets.

An Instagram post from account @vmade, described as a custom jeweler, showed a bracelet reportedly made for Svet, the partner of Leafs winger McMann, featuring his number 74 and “Go Leafs Go.”

“We used our AAA pearls with 14k gold filled beads and gold filled chain that won’t tarnish,” the caption showing off the bling reads.

On social media site X, a Quinn Hughes parody account has been doing some deep digging into the playoff fits from WAGs across the NHL.

The Winnipeg Jets crew opted for a cream-coloured jacket with several flight-themed logos and players’ last names written across the backs for Game 1 of their series.

The Washington Capitals group rocked matching leather jackets with the team’s Screaming Eagle logo on the back and the team’s name across the front.

The WAGs of the Carolina Hurricanes kept it pretty simple with red and white jackets and large numbers on the front to represent the player.

Another WAG squad keeping it simple was the Colorado Avalanche, with a pic their offering showing a burgundy leather jacket with the team logo on the sleeve.

With several teams yet to play at home in the playoffs, we could see many more additions to the list in the days to come.
