Marc-Andre Doucet's plea in fatal crash delayed again

A Fredericton man, facing a charge of impaired driving causing death, had his plea date postponed again on Tuesday.

Marc-Andre Doucet, 26, is charged with impaired driving causing the death of Jennifer Dawn Brewer.

Doucet is accused of crashing a car on St. Anne's Point Drive, when Brewer was also in the car. Brewer was later found dead floating in the St. John River.

Doucet is facing two more charges, driving with a blood alcohol level in excess of the legal limit and dangerous driving causing death.

This is the second time Doucet's election has been postponed. The first was at his appearance on July 12.

Doucet will be back in provincial court on Aug. 9.
