The spouses shared the news of their growing family on Instagram in June.
"Life Lately ☀️," they captioned a Reel, which showed recent adventures from beach days to a Disneyland trip, ending with their biggest project to date.
"Lately we've been...making new music, making birthday wishes, went to Disneyland, made more music stuff, turned off our phones and went to the beach, car rides with our best mate, Boba tea, made more music," the Reel read.
"Also," it continued, "we've been making.... a tiny human."
The couple met "at a singer-songwriter night at a mutual friend's house," Jean told Riff Magazine. "It was kind of like a fun party night where singers and musicians would get up and perform."
After the event, the two exchanged numbers and eventually started dating in 2012. The couple later announced their engagement in January 2016 and tied the knot that November.
In Ballas and Jean's single "Rainbow," the couple, who perform as Alexander Jean, reflected on a pregnancy loss they experienced in 2022. The lyric video included photos of Jean, 36, wearing an oversized coat and showing off her baby bump.
"We lost a baby last year," they captioned their social media post announcing the single. "Just when we thought we were in a good place to tell friends + family we received the heavy news that our little one wasn’t going to make it, we’ve both been through hard things in our lives but this was a different kind of sadness."
The couple went on to dedicate "Rainbow" to "anyone that has experienced loss in any form," adding that they "hope it brings whoever listens some kind of peace & reminds you that a rainbow isn’t far behind."
