The CBC morning show took a tour of the town "with a painted past," and painted the town red.
For the latest edition of Mark About Town Thursday morning, Edmonton AM held a live broadcast from Stony Plain's Multicultural Heritage Centre.
The centre — which features a museum and an art gallery and has been preserving the history of the community for decades — served as a mobile broadcast centre for host Mark Connolly and the crew.
There was fresh coffee, flaky apple pies, hot breakfast and good company. From the mayor, to local students and world-renowned artists, the Homesteader's Kitchen was packed with some of Stony Plain's most interesting people.
It's clear the town has come along way from the days when it was known as Dog Rump Creek.
