Martha Stewart on Why She Doesn't Want to Be 'an Old-Fashioned Old Lady' (Exclusive)
Stewart is the latest celebrity to lead a class for online education platform, MasterClass
Martha Stewart is always evolving — and proving that age is just a number.
Stewart is the latest celebrity to helm a MasterClass, with her offering — titled, "Think Like a Boss, Live Like a Legend" — dropping on Friday. PEOPLE has an exclusive look at the trailer.
America's first self-made billionaire, who turned 82 in August, says in her class that she often gets comments like, " 'Oh you’re re-inventing yourself.' "
"I don’t call it reinvention," though, she explains. "I really like to evolve and not be an old-fashioned old lady. I want to know what my limits are but I also want to extend those limits in every way possible."
Stewart, who spoke about her class and her personal ethos during a Q&A with MasterClass CEO David Rogier at New York City's Whitby Hotel on Thursday, says part of staying active is "filling your day." In fact, Stewart's class follows her throughout a busy 24-hours at her home in Bedford, New York.
“Watching this MasterClass, I think you’ll be amazed at how much can be done in a day. How much good work and enjoyable work can be accomplished in one 24-hour period," Stewart says in her class.

During Thursday's Q&A Stewart doubled down on the importance of staying busy. Her strategy for success, she said, hinges on not being "afraid of hard work, not to be afraid of filling your day. Not to be afraid of experimenting new things, planting a new kind of tree."
And as Stewart explores different adventures in her 80s — including a CBD gummy line — she told her N.Y.C. audience, "I like new and different."
Put simply, it's the lifestyle guru's work ethic at play throughout every decision she makes: "I want to get things done," she says in her MasterClass. "If you are going to choose to be an entrepreneur, hard work is the first thing you have to accept. You can never say that any famous entrepreneur was lazy about anything."
