If you thought you couldn't get enough of The Masked Singer, a brand-new spin-off series is set to launch to give fans a closer look at all the action.

The UK iteration of the hit reality show debuted earlier this year, and it looks like the upcoming second series is expanding in 2021.

ITV is launching The Masked Singer: Unmasked, which will be hosted by Capital Xtra presenter Will Njobvu and air exclusively on ITV Hub.

The show will include exclusive first interview with each evening's unmasked celebrity, backstage gossip with panelists Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Mo Gilligan, as well as other behind-the-scenes bits.

Unmasked isn't the only spin-off show that ITV has announced this week, with I'm a Celebrity launching new show The Daily Drop, to be hosted by Vick Hope.

Meanwhile, host Joel Dommett teased the second series of The Masked Singer, which recently wrapped filming amid new restrictions due to coronavirus.

Joel explained to Digital Spy that the new series "isn't really that much different", adding: "It's such a huge production, and the fact they've managed to get it done in such an insane amount of time.

"The only thing different is there are perspex divides between the panel. Pretty much everything is the same, the costumes are still absolutely mad, the suits are still mad, the panel is still crazy.

"If anyone thought they can't step it up from the first series, they have. It feels huge. The names are insane, like really insane."

The Masked Singer will return to ITV in 2021.
