'Masked Singer' Host Nick Cannon Is Getting His Own Talk Show

From Good Housekeeping

Looks like all those years of hosting reality competition shows like America's Got Talent and The Masked Singer are paying off for Nick Cannon — the TV personality is getting his own nationally syndicated daytime talk show, joining the ranks of Tamron Hall, Kelly Clarkson, Ellen DeGeneres, and more.

“It’s been thrilling going through this process, and to see the widespread support that the show has received and the milestones we’ve achieved is mind blowing,” Nick said in a statement about his upcoming program, which will be co-produced by Debmar-Mercury and Ncredible Entertainment. “We’re gearing up to deliver a must-see show."

Here's all the info we can share so far about Nick's new show, Nick Cannon:

What will Nick Cannon be about?

According to Deadline, the talker will, of course, have Nick front and center and explore his take on the latest pop culture stories. The show is also believed to feature lots of celebrity interviews.

"Our great station partners are hungry for a rising, versatile and dynamic talent like Nick. His light-hearted style quickly wins over viewers and gives them a much-needed escape from the world," Ira Bernstein and Mort Marcus, co-presidents of Debmar-Mercury, said in a statement.

Who knows, maybe we'll see Masked Singer judges Robin Thicke, Ken Jeong, Jenny McCarthy, and Nicole Scherzinger pop up on the show from time to time. We have a feeling it would make a lot of Masked Singer fans verryy happy ...

When will Nick Cannon premiere?

As announced this month, the daytime show is set to air starting on September 21, 2020. Given the timing of the announcement amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Variety notes that the set date may be assuming that Debmar-Mercury will be able to start production over the summer. We will be sure to update this post ASAP if the launch date changes, though.

What channel will Nick Cannon be on and how can we watch it?

Good news! Nick Cannon has been cleared to air on TV stations that cover more than 90% of U.S. households. In other words, Fox, CBS, Sinclair, Hearst, Nexstar, Mission, COX, Sunbeam, Capitol, Meredith, Tegna, Lockwood, Gray & CW Plus have all given the green light to the show.

When the talk show launch date gets closer, we'll be able to share more channel and timing information, but right now, all of that is TBD.

What are people saying about the show so far?

Nick's fans seem to be stoked about his new project and career move. "Congrats Boss!! Let’s do this!!" one fan tweeted, while another wrote, "This [is] amazing Nick i will watch your talk show like all the time."

Of course, now the question becomes: will Nick leave The Masked Singer to focus on his new talk show? So far, neither Nick nor Fox have made any announcements, so we're assuming he'll stay put ... for now, at least.
