The Masked Singer kept us guessing and speculating for weeks but the winner of the first UK series of the hit show was finally revealed to be Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts last weekend.

Nicola, who had been performing in an elaborate costume as Queen Bee, impressed judges and viewers alike with her incredible performances and beat comedian Jason Manford and singer Katherine Jenkins to the crown in the final.

Nicola watched the final episode at home with her former bandmates Kimberley Walsh and Cheryl, enjoying a mini-reunion with her friends at her unmasking party.

And with Girls Aloud celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2022, Nicola has admitted that she'd be keen to reform with the other girls to mark the occasion.

Speaking on This Morning earlier this week (February 17), she said: "I would love to get back with the girls and us put on a show, and just put it on for the fans really. That was our favourite thing to do, was to do a show.

"So I think that we just have to cross that bridge when the anniversary comes and see where we all are."

It sounds like Nicola is keen, so now she'll just need to persuade Cheryl, Kimberley, Nadine Coyle and Sarah Harding to join her on stage...

In the meantime, the singer is also keen to record a second solo album following her debut release Cinderella Eyes in 2011.

"I was 24 when I made it. It was great. I thoroughly enjoyed making a body of work and being able to throw a load of creativity into it," she said.

"I'm just about to go into a play called City of Angels. I was going to try and have a few things working alongside the play, but I underestimated how much work the play actually is...

"After the play, I'd love to then create a record and go back into that."

The Masked Singer UK is over but you can catch up on the ITV hub. The Masked Singer US airs on FOX.
