Red Bull driver Max Verstappen made easy work of the Brazilian Grand Prix sprint race to pick up another win.

Lando Norris started on pole after edging out Verstappen in qualifying, looking to win for the first time in Formula One, but found himself in third behind Verstappen and George Russell before the end of the first lap.

Norris was out-gunned by Verstappen on the short run down to the opening corner to ensure the McLaren man's wait for a first victory goes on.

The British driver worked his way back into second, crossing the line 4.2 seconds behind winner Verstappen. Sergio Perez took third ahead of Russell, while Lewis Hamilton finished only seventh, 35 seconds back.

Perez's third-placed finish allowed him to extend his lead over Hamilton in the race for championship runner-up from from 20 points to 24 ahead of Sunday's grand prix.
