Model, Maye Musk, 71, walked the catwalk at Milan Fashion Week for Philipp Plein.

It wasn’t just any catwalk though, it was the longest ever runway which took an eye-watering nine minutes to walk down.

That’s a long runway but anybody’s standards, but doing it in 6 inch heels deserves a round of applause.

The mother of SpaceX CEO, Elon Musk, shared her plight in an Instagram post.

In the post she wrote: “Do I look angry because I’m cool, or because I walked the longest runway ever, for 9 minutes in 6” heels?”

We’re guessing it’s the latter.

She went on to thank designer Philipp Plein for “including me in this most magnificent extravaganza”, using the hashtag #ItsGreatToBe71.

Due to an outbreak of the coronavirus, Giorgio Armani was forced to cancel its iconic show on Sunday, however Philipp Plein’s Saturday night presentation went ahead as planned.

The show pulled out all the stops.

There was a fighter jet, boats, cars and even a helicopter at the event, all emblazoned with Philipp Plein’s logo.

After a performance from Tyga, actress Jada Pinkett Smith opened the show followed by an array of models, which included Maye Musk as well as content creator and actor Cameron Dallas and YouTuber Gigi Gorgeous.

The theme of the evening was excess, which explains why the catwalk was a lot longer than average.

It also explains the fighter jet.

As far as the fashion goes, the new collection featured a lot of animal print, motorcycle jackets and thigh-high boots.

The designer received some of backlash on social media after his FW20 collection show featured a tribute to Kobe Bryant.

During the show, models walked the runway wearing Swaroski-embellished Lakers-style tops.

Some Twitter users thought it insensitive to honour Bryant, who died in a helicopter crash earlier this year, next to a helicopter on the stage.

One user wrote: “Philipp Plein made two gold helicopters for his show today, which falls 27 days after Kobe died in a helicopter crash.

“But don’t worry he whipped up a bunch of Swarovski Kobe jerseys (with ‘Plein’ written on them??) so it’s cool.

“F*** you, Philipp.”
