London Mayor Matt Brown got the trash talk going online, in the lead up to the highly anticipated junior hockey playoff showdown with Windsor.
Brown and Windsor Mayor Drew Dilkens made the series — between the champion London Knights and the Windsor Spitfires — a little interesting Thursday by putting a six pack of craft beer on the line.
Brown then jumped to Twitter to taunt Dilkens just hours before the puck was scheduled to drop Friday.
The long-standing rivalry between the Knights and the Spitfires got the politicians fired up on social media.
Brown called out Dilkens online, putting a little bit of each city's craft beer on the line for the classic grudge match.
Dilkens gladly accepted the wager.
