Gautam Adani is India’s second richest person and head of the eponymous Adani Group, a multinational corporation that develops and operates ports. The Adani Group is also into logistics, energy, agriculture as well as defence and aerospace. As of June 2021, the Adani family’s net worth is estimated to be around $78.6 billion. By all estimates, Gautam Adani is one of the most powerful men in the country. He ranks only after Mukesh Ambani in wealth but unlike the Ambani scions who have been in the news – Akash Ambani famously made it to the cover of GQ – relatively little is known of Gautam Adani’s sons.

Who are Gautam Adani’s sons?

Gautam Adani has two sons: Karan Adani and Jeet Adani. Karan is older than Jeet by 11 years. For most part, the Adani scions have largely flown under the radar. While they do make public appearances, their presence has been largely restricted to work-related activities.

Karan Adani has been the CEO of Adani Ports and SEZ since January 2016, a role he was groomed for since 2009 when he started overseeing the development of Adani ports around the country. Three years before he became CEO, he married Paridhi Shroff. Shroff is the daughter of Cyril Shroff, one of the most reputed corporate lawyers in the country. They have a daughter.

Gautan Adani’s second son, Jeet Adani is over a decade younger than Karan Adani. In fact it was only in 2019 that Jeet Adani joined the Adani Group. He started working in the company’s Group CFO’s office learning the ropes and studying Strategic Finance, Capital Markets and Risk & Governance Policy. This role gave him access to all the group companies. Jeet was all of 23 when he joined the Adani Group.

Today, Jeet Adani is the director of Adani Digital Services Ltd (ADSL), the company’s newest arm that’s going toe-to-toe with Reliance and Tata, the two major conglomerates making big entries into the digital space. Jeet Adani isn’t married. However, should he find himself uploading his profile on Shaadi.com, he’d make for a very eligible candidate: He’s on the boards of six airport of the group; he’s also the director of Adani Properties, which itself is the holding company of Adani Finserve and ADSL.

While Karan Adani graduated in General Management Studies from Purdue University, Jeet Adani holds a degree from the University of Pennsylvania School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
