Marrying into the royal family comes with its downsides, like moving across the world to live in Kensington Palace, constantly being in the public eye, and adjusting your whole lifestyle to fit the monarchy. And for Meghan Markle, that also means losing some friends along the way.

Now, four months after the royal wedding, the new Duchess of Sussex just keeps a "small group of friends" on speed dial, People reports. "Meghan has lost touch with some of her close friends from before the wedding, which has been tough," a source tells the weekly. "She’s finding it hard to know who to trust."

Markle hasn't lost contact with all of her friends, however. Last month, she booked a secret trip back to Toronto to see her best friend, Jessica Mulroney. She spent five days in the Canadian city, where she used to live while filming Suits, and caught up with the Mulroney family. The stay even included a night out with friends.

The month prior, the Duchess of Sussex watched her pal Serena Williams at the Wimbledon final. The tennis star attended the royal wedding in May before making her grand return to the court this summer.

She's also reportedly seen her fellow actress Priyanka Chopra around the time of her engagement to Nick Jonas. A source told Us Weekly that the couple spent time with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex at their country home in Oxfordshire, England. Meghan apparently approves of her good friend's relationship.

To top it off, Meghan has also spent some down time with George and Amal Clooney, as she and Harry visited the A-list couple at their Lake Como home this summer. Though the friendship seems new, Meghan and Amal have actually been friends for a while.
