Meghan Markle Shares Her Two Biggest Vices — and Admits She Names Her ‘Food Baby’

Meghan Markle has babies on the brain — a food baby, that is!

In a recent piece for Delishthe 35-year-old Suits star and lifestyle guru got down and dirty about food —including zucchini (really) and what happens when she over-indulges.

“When I’m traveling, I won’t miss an opportunity to try great pasta,” she said. “I come back from vacation every year with a food baby, and I’ve named her Comida (Spanish for food). I get to the set and I’m like, ‘Hey, Comida’s here, and she’s kicking.’ ”

The L.A.-born star’s laid back attitude towards food isn’t restricted to vacation time. Markle shared she also has an obsession with French fries — “It’s its own food group for me,” she says — and knows a few tricks around the kitchen, like squeezing lemons on steaks to bring out the meat’s flavor or making a pasta sauce she calls “filthy, sexy mush,” that tastes like a calorie-feast but is actually zucchini.

Maybe she whipped up a batch during boyfriend Prince Harry‘s secret visit last weekend as he made a quick detour on his way back from the Caribbean.

And she also admits she can’t stay away from wine.

“French fries and vino are my vices,” she explains, saying she’d rather enjoy a glass of wine than indulge in dessert. While she named her lifestyle site, The Tig, after her favorite red, Tignanello, it’s “rosé all day” during a summer day with friends.

Even when shooting starts up, Markle allows herself a glass of wine with dinner. However, those fries are replaced with healthier options.

Her typical work day starts off with hot water and lemon followed by a breakfast of steel-cut oats, bananas and agave syrup. It’s a salad for lunch, apples and green juice for snacking, and a dinner of pasta with zucchini.
