Meghan Markle just made her first public engagement since tying the knot and it appears she’s settling into her new role as the Duchess of Sussex - and royal style icon - pretty darn well.

Wearing a rose pink silk crepe pencil dress by Goat, paired with a Wilbur and Gussie clutch and Vanessa Tugendhaft earrings, the newlywed stunned as she celebrated the Prince of Wales' 70th birthday.

However, we could’t help but notice the dazzling diamond tennis bracelet adorning the royal’s wrist on the hot summer’s day.

A fan of understated jewellery, Meghan debuted a Cartier bracelet covered in diamonds, widely believed to be a wedding gift from her new husband, Prince Harry. And the price tag is somewhat gobsmacking.

According to the Cartier website, a similar bracelet costs a staggering £17,700. Named the ‘Essential Lines Bracelet’, the accessory is made of gold and diamonds, set with 61 brilliant-cut diamonds totalling 3.34 carats.

Meghan has long been a big fan of Cartier’s and even chose to wear a dazzling pair of 18-carat white gold 'Reflection de Cartier' chandelier earrings from the heritage brand on her wedding day.

The earrings complemented her chic Stella McCartney halter neck fishtail gown and are set with 19 brilliant-cut diamonds, totalling 0.81 carats, with 10 baguette-cut diamonds totalling 1.08 carats. Oh, and they cost a cool £50,000. No biggie...

However, the earrings might not have as much sentimental value to the star as her Cartier Tank Française watch, which she bough as a present to herself to celebrate her success in TV series, Suits, earlier on in her career.

In 2015, she told HELLO!: ‘I’ve always coveted the Cartier French Tank watch. When I found out Suits had been picked up for our third season – which, at the time, felt like such a milestone – I totally splurged and bought the two-tone version.

'I had it engraved on the back, “To M.M. From M.M.” and I plan to give it to my daughter one day. That’s what makes pieces special, the connection you have to them.’

Too cute!
