Megyn Kelly was a total eclipse buzzkill on 'Today'

Everyone was excited about the total solar eclipse — except for Megyn Kelly. The anchors of Today were gushing about the rare astronomical event, which hasn’t happened in the contiguous United States since 1979, when Kelly interrupted the fun to say, “Is the problem it’s not actually that exciting and we need to gin it up?”

Kelly went on to throw shade at the hoopla about the moon covering the sun. She said that it’s better to see on the Weather Channel and clips replayed on Today Wednesday morning instead of experiencing it in person because “you don’t have to waste an hour of your day.”

And though she said she would go to the top of Rockefeller Plaza to see the eclipse, she complained about having to shell out money to see it. What a bummer.
