Melania Trump made a naked dress look appropriate for a presidential trip abroad

Melania Trump made a sparkly entrance to a dinner in South Korea wearing a black and blue sheer sequined gown by J. Mendel.

The first lady is in South Korea with President Trump as part of a five-country tour. On Tuesday evening the couple attended a state dinner with President Moon Jae-in at the Blue House in Seoul.

According to the Daily Mail, the four-course menu included corn porridge, grilled sole with a brown-bean sauce, and pine mushroom rice and Korean beef with 360-year-old soy sauce. Dessert was triple chocolate cake with raspberry vanilla sauce and granita with dried persimmons.

During the meal, President Moon Jae-in acknowledged the one-year anniversary of the U.S. election, saying, “In Korea, we have a custom of holding a special celebration on one’s first birthday. So after pondering about how to best celebrate the first anniversary of President Trump’s victory, I decided to invite the president to Korea as a state guest and hold a banquet.”

Earlier in the day, reported ABC News, while discussing North Korea, Moon said, “I would like to congratulate you in advance. You are already making great progress on making America great again, as you have promised on the campaign trail.”

While their husbands met, Melania spent quality time with first lady Kim Jung-sook on a walking tour of the Blue House. For the occasion, Melania wore a $3,826 oxblood-colored coat by Delpozo, which she paired with cobalt-blue pumps. The coat was an understated take on the hot-pink one she wore in September by the same designer to give an anti-bullying speech, which stirred headlines for its bold look.

And while the Trumps have received rave reviews from the South Korean first family, the couple pales in comparison with boy-band members. On Tuesday, while greeting schoolchildren, Melania was upstaged by K-pop star Choi Min-ho, who was spotted in the crowd, triggering screams from the young girls. Delighting in the moment, Melania smiled broadly, setting Twitter ablaze with comments that she was enjoying a rare relaxed and happy moment in public.

On Monday, President and Melania Trump spent time in Japan, with the first lady wearing a colorful striped Fendi coat, a leather skirt by Hervé Pierre (who designed her inaugural gown), and nude suede Manolo Blahnik pumps.

On their itinerary: a visit to Yokota Air Base to thank military members for their service, followed by Melania’s meeting with Akie Abe, the wife of Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, for tea and a lesson on pearl cultivation. The following day, the Trumps were welcomed by Japan’s Emperor Akihito and Empress Michikowent. The Trumps also went to the U.S. Embassy, where the president spoke about the mass shooting at the First Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs, Texas. Then Melania, wearing a dark blue Dior dress, and Akie Abe visited an elementary school, where they received a calligraphy lesson.
