Mendicino says Conservatives ‘have no plan’ to combat gun violence

Questioned about Bill C-5 on criminal justice reform during question period at the House of Commons on Tuesday, Public Safety Minister Marco Mendicino instead took aim at Conservatives for “stalling” Bill C-21, a piece of legislation intended to strengthen gun laws. Mendicino argued that the Conservative party “has no plan” to reduce gun violence, and is instead focused on “legalizing AR-15’s and assault rifles.”
